"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." – Lao Tzu
As a proud native of the south, I am familiar with the unique challenges that Southerners face, from systemic trauma to the bayou blues. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board Approved Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S). I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of New Orleans and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans. I completed a year-long graduate internship at Family Service of Greater New Orleans providing mental health services to adolescents, adults, and families. I have 3 years of experience working in Mental Health Rehabilitation (MHR), providing community-based services to children, adolescents, and young adults, and I have been in private practice for over 2 years. I was the Admissions and Clinical Coordinator for the Department of Counseling at Loyola University New Orleans and a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association. My goal is to ensure ethical, legal, and culturally competent services, promote quality mental health and wellness, education, and advocacy, in a comfortable and non-judgmental environment.
My counseling process includes intake, treatment planning, and working toward your goals until the point of reassessment. This approach provides clients with autonomy, support, and hope for resiliency and a productive life.
I am a wife and mother who enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and immersing myself in traditional New Orleans culture!
